Chinese Lantern Festival
The Lantern Festival is a traditional Chinese festival since Han's Dynasty, more than 2000 years ago. Chinese Festival which is celebrated in the first month 15th of Chinese Lunar calendar. Traditionally lanterns are made by paper lit by candles. Today they are lit by electricity.
عيد الفوانيس الصيني
عيد الفوانيس هو مهرجان تقليدي في الصين بدأ منذ عهد أسرة هان الحاكمة قبل أكثر من 200 سنة. ويحتفل بعيد الفوانيس في الشهر الأول من السنة القمرية في 15 منه. وتصنع هذه الفوانيس من الورق وكانت في الماضي تضاء بالشموع. أما هذه الأيام فتضاء بالكهرباء.
The Legendary Story
There was a beautiful bird flew down to the earth from the heaven. It was hunted by the village people. The Jade Emperor in Heaven was very angery, because the bird was his favorite one. He ordered to destroy the village and kill all people with a storm of fire on the 15th lunar day. The daughter of Jade Emperor heard of this act of vengeance, and warned the villagers to prepare for that. Everybody worried about it and no one had any idea to face the fact. Luckily, a wise man past the village and made the suggestion that every house should hang red lanterns around the house, setup campfire on the street, explode the bamboo firecracker, made fireworks on 14th, 15th and 16th lunar days. In this way, Jade Emperor might think all village people die under fire. This way all the villagers can save their lives and properties.
On the night of 15th lunar day, the troop coming down from the heaven looked the village was ablaze and returned back to heaven to report the Jade Emperor. Satisfied with the result, the Jade Emperor decided not to burn down the village. From that day on, people celebrated the anniversary on 15th lunar day every year by carrying red lanterns on the streets and explode the firecracker and fireworks.

يقال أنه كان هناك طائر جميل نزل إلى الأرض من السماء واصطاده سكان القرية. مما أغضب امبراطور اليشم (حجر كريم Jade) في السماء لأنه كان واحداً من أفضل الطيور لديه. فأمر بتدمير القرى وقتل أهلها جميعاً بعاصفة من النار يوم 15 من الشهر القمري. فسمعت ابنة الامبراطور بهذا العمل الانتقامي فحذرت القرويين للتحضير أنفسهم لذلك. قلق الجميع ولم يكن لدى أي أحد منهم أي فكرة لمواجهة الموقف. ولحسن الحظ نصحهم رجل حكيم كان ماراً بالقرية بأن يعلق كل بيت فوانيس حمراء في جميع أنحاء البيت وأن تشعل النار في الشوارع وتطلق الالعاب النارية في الأيام القمرية 14و 15 و 16. وبهذه الطريقة سيعتقد إمبراطور اليشم أن جميع سكان القرية يموتون بحريق النار. وبهذه الطريقة ينقذون أرواحهم وممتلكاتهم.
وفي ليلة 15 من الشهر القمري نزلت قوات من السماء وشاهدت نيران القرية فعادت إلى إمبراطور اليشممخبرة إياه بما رأت فقرر الامبراطور أن لا يحرق القرية المحترقة. ومنذ ذلك الحين يحتفل الناس بذكرى ذلك اليوم في كل عام فيحملون الفوانيس الحمراء في الشوارع ويطلقون الالعاب النارية.
