The Chinese artist Li Xiaofeng uses broken porcelain shards to create wearable costumes. He cleans the fragments, shapes them, drills small holes into them and then binds them together with silver wire to create his unique heavy costumes.

يستخدم الفنان الصيني لى شياو فنغ القطع الخزفية المكسورة لخلق أزياء يمكن ارتداؤها. وهو يقوم بتنظيف قطع الخزف وتشكيلها وفق الحاجة وثقبها ثم يربطها ببعضها بأسلاك من الفضة لخلق أزيائه الثقيلة الفريدة.

LACOSTE challenged Xiaofeng to create Porcelain Polo. It took three full months to paint, fire, fragment, shape, polish, and finally link together the 317 shards to create the, which is the most expensive and most exclusive LACOSTE polo to date. The Porcelain Polo was unveiled in Paris on 25 June 2010 at the Musée des Arts et Métiers.

تحدت شركة لاكوست للألبسة الفنان شياو فنغ لخلق قميص بولو من الخزف. استغرق الأمر ثلاثة أشهر كاملة للتلوين والحرق والتقطيع والتشكيل والتلميع و أخيرا ربط القطع الـ 317 لإنشاء أغلى قميص بولو حصري لشركة لاكوست حتى الآن. وقد كشف النقاب عن قميص البولو الخزفي هذا في باريس في 25 يونيو (حزيران) 2010 في متحف الفنون.

LACOSTE asked Li Xiaofeng to create two different printed Polo shirts for the company's 2010 Holiday Collector's Series. The Chinese artist drew custom motifs including the Lacoste crocodile logo, broke them into pieces and tied them into the shape of a polo shirt. The limited edition printed Porcelain Polo is limited to 20,000 pieces for both men and women.

وقد طلبت لاكوست من الفنان لى شياو فنغ صنع قميصين بولو مختلفين مطبوعين لهواة جمع القمصان في 2010. فقام برسم زخارف صينية على أوراق بما في ذلك شعار تمساح لاكوست وقطعها الى قطع تماثل كسرات الخزف ولصقهاعلى شكل قميص بولو. واقتصر عدد قمصان البولو المطبوعة الخاصة على عشرين ألف قطعة لكل من الرجال والنساء.

Stunning 3000 years old bust of the late King of Pop!!

An Egyptian bust that resembles Michael Jackson is on display in Chicago's Field Museum. Though the bust is of an Egyptian woman and is nearly 3,000 years old, yet the resemblance to the late King of Pop is uncanny. The bust has been a part of the Museum's collection since 1899. It was carved during the New Kingdom Period (1550 BCE to 1050 BCE) which is the same time period as King Tut and Ramses.

Sotheby's, the famous auction firm, sold in Doha, Qatar a carpet that was originally dedicated to the shrine of the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh)for $ 5.5 million. The carpet which is known as Baroda Pearl Carpet, has been the property of the Indian family for nearly a hundred years. The story of this carpet started when the Maharaja of Baroda (present-day Vadodara, Gujarat) converted to Islam a hundred years ago, he ordered to weave a precious carpet to be a cover for the tomb of the Holy Prophet in Medina.

باعت دار سوذبيز الشهيرة في الدوحة بقطر سجادة كانت موجهة (مهداة) لقبر الرسول الكريم (صلى الله عليه وسلم) بيعت بمزاد علني بـمبلغ 5.5 مليون دولار. وتعرف هذه السجادة بسجادة بارودا ظلت قرابة مائة عام ملكا لعائلة هندية. تبدأ قصة هذه السجادة بمهراجا منطقة بارودا الهندية (في هذه الأيام تدعى فدودارا، في غوجورات) والذي اعتنق الإسلام قبل مائة عام فأمر بحياكة سجادة نفيسة لكي تكون غطاءاً لقبر الرسول الكريم في المدينة المنورة. لكن المهراجا توفي قبل أن يحقق حلمه.

The carpet is 2.5 meters long and 1.5 meters wide and has a light beige color, but the gems and precious stones makes it radiant with color. The carpet - which had never been auctioned – was exhibited in New Delhi in 1902 and 1903 and then moved to Monaco, and was exhibited again in 1985 in New York. The carpet is wholly covered by ornaments and contains nearly two million natural saltwater Basra pearls from the Arabian Gulf. It is inlaid abundantly with diamonds, rubies, emeralds and other precious stones. It reflects the Indian designs of the eighth century which shows in the center of the carpet in the three forms of pink circulars made of diamonds and set against a background of gold and silver.

In his life, Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) slept on a straw mat or a leather mattress stuffed with fiber, living a life of humility and simplicity. Certainly, if he is alive, he would not have approved such a carpet.

ويبلغ طول السجادة 2.5 متر وعرضها 1.5 متر ولونها بيج فاتح، لكن الجواهر والأحجار الكريمة التي ترصعها جعلت منها لوحة مشعة بالألوان. كانت السجادة - التي لم يسبق لها الظهور في أي مزاد علني من قبل - قد عرضت في معرض نيودلهي عام 1902 و 1903 ثم نقلت إلى موناكو ، وعرضت مجددا عام 1985 في نيويورك. وتتميز السجادة بتغطيتها الكاملة بالزخرفة إذ تحوي قرابة مليوني حبة لؤلؤ بحري طبيعي من لآليءالبصرة في الخليج العربي. ومطعمة بالألماس والياقوت والزمرد والأحجار الكريمة الوفيرة . وهي تعكس التصميم الهندي في القرن الثامن عشرالذي يبدو واضحا في مركز السجادة من خلال ثلاثة أشكال وردية دائرية صنعت من قطع الألماس ووضعت على أرضية من الذهب والفضة.

في حياته، كان النبي محمد (ص) ينام على حصير أو فراش من الجلد محشو بالألياف، إذ كان يعيش حياة من التواضع والبساطة. ولو كان صلى الله عليه وسلم على قيد الحياة، فإنه لن يوافق أبداً على مثل هذه السجادة.
