ماذا عن الطبيعة التي غرست في الكتب والموسوعات ، يبدو الأمر غريباً ومذهلاً ، فنان يستخدم السكاكين والملاقط وأدوات الجراحة لتشكيل تماثيل ومنحوتات لا تصدق في الكتب والموسوعات ؟! إنه الفنان برايان ديتمير والمعروف بإسم جراح الكتب ، فعلاً يتسحق هذا اللقب لأن أعمالة الفنية توحي بذلك .

صاحبنا برايان يرى أن الجمال في الكتب ، فهو يسكن في فانكوفر ، وينشئ أعمال فنية جميلة جداً .
يقول برايان " أنا أعيش في فانكوفر وهي مدينة كندية تقع في كولومبيا البريطانية ، هذه المدينة تحيط بها الجبال والغابات والمحيطات ، والطبيعة هي الحاضرة في كل الأوقات داخل المدينة ، لذى لم أستطع أن أذهب بعيداً عن هذه الطبيعة فأعمالي الفنية هي نتاج للبيئة التي أسكن فيها " .
